Two individuals, a man and a woman, have been apprehended by authorities after a visit to a residence in Lincolnshire resulted in the hospitalization of two young children.
The Lincolnshire Police disclosed that they responded to concerns about the well-being of two children at a property in Dennis Estate, Kirton, on Wednesday. The children were transported to a hospital for medical attention and remained under care overnight.
The arrested parties, a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, are facing allegations of neglect. They have been granted bail pending further investigation procedures.
Detective Inspector Claire Rimmer emphasized the intricacy of the inquiry, stating that numerous inquiries will be conducted by the police force. She urged the public to refrain from speculating on the case to prevent compromising evidence and impacting the ongoing investigation.
