“Trump Imposes 10% Tariff on UK Goods”

A 10% import tariff has been imposed on the UK by Donald Trump.

The tariff will be applied to UK goods following the expiration of time-limited levies that were introduced by the president after a Supreme Court defeat, as confirmed by a US trade representative.

The US has announced new tariffs on the UK and 59 other trading partners, alleging their failure to address forced labor issues.

These tariffs, ranging from 10% to 12.5%, are specifically targeting major economic allies, including the UK, EU, Canada, Japan, and India.

The implementation of these tariffs is scheduled for Friday, July 24.

This development is part of an ongoing trade conflict that reignited when Trump began his second presidential term.

Last year, the Supreme Court ruled against the enforcement of global tariffs by the president, leading him to explore alternative legal strategies for his trade agenda.
