A tragic incident occurred in Boynton Beach, Florida, where a three-year-old girl lost her life after getting her head stuck in a toy kitchen set at her babysitter’s residence. The Boynton Beach Police Department responded to a call on July 23 reporting an unresponsive and non-breathing child. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by the officers and the subsequent arrival of the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue team, the toddler was taken to the hospital in critical condition and passed away on July 27.
Reports indicate that the girl and her sibling were under the care of a babysitter’s spouse when the accident happened. The babysitter had left the children in the spouse’s supervision at the time. The spouse discovered the girl with her head trapped in the play kitchen during a routine check on the children and promptly provided emergency assistance.
The investigation revealed that the child’s sibling mentioned that the three-year-old was trying to retrieve toys that had fallen inside the play set, leading to the tragic incident. The toy kitchen, described as an old wooden set purchased from Facebook Marketplace years ago, did not have identifiable make, model, or brand information.
Details concerning the cause of the child’s death, the duration of being trapped, and the potential criminal review of the case remain undisclosed. The identities of the girl, her parents, and the babysitter have not been revealed by the authorities as the investigation continues.
