“Teen on Trial for Fatal Stabbing at Seaford Station”

A court has heard that a 16-year-old boy was fatally stabbed by a teenage boy at Seaford railway station in East Sussex on September 10, 2025. The accused teenager, who has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, allegedly attacked Joshua Ingram without any verbal warning and with a calm demeanor.

During the trial at Hove Crown Court, it was revealed that the defendant, along with two other youths, is facing charges related to a conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent. The prosecution claims that the trio orchestrated the stabbing incident over an unsettled £20 cannabis debt.

Witness testimonies described how the defendant approached Joshua at the train station, pulled out a knife, and swiftly attacked him, leaving Joshua unaware of the situation. The friend of the victim, who witnessed the incident, expressed shock at the defendant’s composed behavior during the assault.

The defense lawyer for the accused emphasized the difference in intent between manslaughter and murder charges, asserting that the defendant had no intention of causing severe harm. The defense team also challenged the prosecution’s interpretation of certain messages as they relate to the case, suggesting they may be exaggerated or misrepresented.

The trial is ongoing, with the jury deliberating on the evidence presented before them.
