“Teacher Accused of Student Misconduct, More Victims Suspected”

A teacher who is married is accused of engaging in sexual misconduct with a student, with authorities suspecting the possibility of additional victims. Samantha J. Watson, residing in Eastvale, Riverside County, in southern California, was apprehended for charges related to sending harmful material to a minor and other sexual offenses.

The arrest took place last Friday concerning the alleged incidents that occurred between 2017 and 2018 while Watson was employed as a teacher at a charter school in Moreno Valley. She lives with her husband, Willie Watson, in their residence valued at $1.2 million (£750,000).

The investigation into Watson’s alleged actions initiated on January 28, 2026, following reports of inappropriate interactions with a student, prompting the involvement of the Riverside Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit.

Law enforcement disclosed that the probe is ongoing and hints at the presence of potential additional victims. The Riverside County Sheriff’s office stated that the investigation began with allegations of inappropriate contact with a student at a Moreno Valley school, subsequently taken over by the Special Victims Unit. It was found that between 2017 and 2018, Samantha J. Watson engaged in inappropriate behavior with a student while employed as a teacher at a Charter School on Sunnymead Boulevard in Moreno Valley.

On May 22, 2026, authorities executed a search warrant at Watson’s residence in Eastvale, leading to her arrest without any resistance. Watson was then booked into the Robert Presley Detention Centre.

The investigation is still in progress, and no further details have been released at this time. Authorities urge anyone with additional information or who may have been affected to come forward. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Victims Unit speculates the existence of more victims and encourages individuals to contact Master Investigator D. Schell at (951) 955-1704 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099 for further assistance.
