“SpaceX’s Musk Reacts to Blue Origin Rocket Mishap”

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, the owner of SpaceX, has expressed disappointment over the recent space mishap involving Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin New Glenn rocket, which reportedly exploded during a static fire test at Launch Complex 36 of the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida.

In a brief statement on his social media platform, Musk commented, “Most unfortunate. Rockets are hard.”

Following the incident, Blue Origin released a statement confirming an anomaly during the test. All personnel were reported safe, and further updates would be provided as more information became available.

The explosion took place around 9 pm local time on Thursday, May 28. Videos circulating online captured the detonation at the rocket’s base, followed by a rapid ascent of smoke and a subsequent blast near the rocket’s tip, engulfing the entire vehicle in a large, bright yellow fireball.

Jeff Bezos, also posting on social media, assured that all personnel were safe and accounted for. While the cause of the explosion remained unclear, efforts were underway to investigate and rectify the situation promptly.

NASA, as of now, has not issued an official statement regarding the incident. However, House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology subcommittee chair Mike Haridopolos shared his gratitude for the swift response of first responders, engineers, and launch crews following the incident, offering prayers for those involved.
