“Social Media Influencer Denies Rape Accusation”

Braden Peters, also known as Clavicular, a well-known figure in social media for advocating intense focus on male beauty, entered a plea of not guilty on Thursday to accusations of raping a 17-year-old girl at his family’s residence in Massachusetts. The incident allegedly occurred in May 2025 when Peters provided alcohol to the girl until she was intoxicated and then sexually assaulted her during her visit to Chatham, located on Cape Cod.

Peters, aged 20, has refuted the claims made against him by the girl, asserting that the encounter was consensual. At his appearance in Orleans, Mass., Peters, clad in a dark suit, arrived at the courthouse accompanied by a barking dog on a leash. He refrained from engaging with reporters, maintaining a composed demeanor throughout the short arraignment process.

As part of his bail conditions, Peters has agreed to a $10,000 US bond, surrendered his passport, and committed to refraining from contacting or discussing the woman who has accused him of the assault. Following the court proceedings, neither Peters nor his legal counsel provided any statements to the media.

This legal issue marks the most recent in a series of troubles for Peters, who boasts a substantial Instagram following. His livestreams, spanning several hours, involve activities such as critiquing individuals’ appearances and discussing methods to enhance one’s looks through surgical procedures and substance utilization.

In earlier incidents this year, Peters faced a misdemeanor battery charge in Florida for allegedly instigating a confrontation between two women that was later posted online. However, this charge was subsequently dismissed. Additionally, in a separate Florida case, he received probation after pleading no contest to a charge of discharging a firearm in public.

The accuser of Peters reported to the authorities that she had been compensated by Peters for participating in his “looksmaxxing” content. She detailed that during her stay at the Peters family residence, he administered two to three shots of vodka to her and subsequently livestreamed himself kissing her while she was inebriated. She further alleged that upon awakening the next day, Peters was engaging in non-consensual sexual activity with her.

The woman outlined these occurrences in a lawsuit filed in Florida in April, where she also accused Peters of administering a fat-dissolving substance without her consent during a livestream. Peters’ legal representatives dismissed the lawsuit as a mere attempt to garner attention.

The Associated Press typically refrains from disclosing the identities of individuals who claim to be victims of sexual assault unless they provide explicit consent for public acknowledgment.
