“Search Continues for Missing Ontario Air Ambulance Jet”

U.S. Coast Guard officials are set to give an update on Sunday morning regarding the search for an Ontario air ambulance jet that disappeared off the coast of Nantucket, Massachusetts. A debris field from the missing aircraft was found by search crews, with efforts ongoing to locate the six individuals on board, including four Canadians and two Bermudians.

The Gulfstream G100 jet departed from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport late Friday night and was supposed to arrive at Boston Logan International Airport early Saturday morning, as confirmed by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Registered to Latitude Air Ambulance, a company based in Ontario operating from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, the jet with registration C-GRJP remains missing.

The Coast Guard reported covering over 4,250 square kilometers during the initial 27 hours of search operations. An air traffic controller in New York contacted the jet shortly after midnight, inquiring about the pilot’s status and whether they were experiencing any emergencies. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand expressed deep concern for the missing aircraft, particularly with Canadians onboard, and praised the efforts of the U.S. Coast Guard and all involved in the search and rescue mission.
