Disgraced royal figure Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was sighted just prior to the King’s official birthday parade, still displaying a noticeable bruise on his cheek. The former Duke of York was observed driving near his residence on the Sandringham estate, with the bruise showing signs of healing from its previous prominent appearance. Sources close to the prince indicated that the bruise resulted from a minor medical issue.
Last week marked the first public appearance of Andrew in weeks, following a security incident while he was walking his dogs near his home. Additionally, it was revealed that he had been subletting three cottages on the grounds of Royal Lodge while paying minimal rent for his previous residence.
The timing of Andrew’s recent appearance coincides with his brother King Charles’ official birthday celebration, including the Trooping the Colour ceremony. The event featured a grand carriage procession down the Mall, with the royal family, including King Charles, Queen, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, delighting crowds with their presence.
Among the royal colonels participating in the procession were William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward, each representing different regiments. Guardsmen showcased impeccable marching skills in their traditional scarlet tunics and bearskin caps on Horse Guards Parade.
The annual celebration culminated with the royal family gathering on Buckingham Palace’s balcony for the customary fly-past of RAF aircraft, a highlight of the royal calendar.
