A man was discovered dead with severe injuries at a karaoke bar in the town center, prompting a murder investigation. The incident took place at Blues Cabaret and Karaoke Bar in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, around 2:40 am today. The victim, a male in his 30s, sustained injuries believed to be the result of a violent assault.
Despite efforts by paramedics, the man became unresponsive and ceased breathing, leading to his death at the scene at 3:48 am. Reports indicated that a man was seriously assaulted at the bar, which was previously known as Olivers Bar on Bow Street.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody. Detective Superintendent Ian McNabb of Greater Manchester Police described the incident as a tragic and violent attack that claimed the life of a young man. The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and have reassured the public that it appears to be an isolated attack with no broader threat.
