“Mother Charged with Twins’ Murder Amid Vaccine Controversy”

A 23-year-old mother, Andrea Shaw, has recently been charged with the murder of her 18-month-old twins over a year after they were discovered deceased in Payette, Idaho. The tragic incident led to Shaw facing two counts of first-degree murder, with the twins, a boy and a girl, found lifeless in the same bed on May 1, 2025. Following the discovery, Payette Police initiated a comprehensive investigation into the matter.

Shortly after the twins’ passing, Shaw made an appearance on a podcast affiliated with Children’s Health Defense, a group opposing vaccination. During the podcast, Shaw, who had previously been pro-vaccine, suggested that her children fell ill after receiving three vaccinations. She expressed regret, stating that she now wished she had been against vaccinations.

Shaw, who recently gave birth to another child on June 25, was apprehended in Boise, Idaho, without any resistance. Her lawyer, Joe Filicetti, believes that the twins’ deaths were linked to vaccines, a claim Shaw also made on the podcast. Filicetti mentioned that medical experts he consulted also leaned towards a vaccine-related cause for the tragedy.

Authorities had initially treated the case as a homicide, emphasizing the unusual circumstance of both twin infants being found deceased simultaneously. They expressed hope that autopsies would provide answers to the many lingering questions surrounding the tragic incident.

In a statement released on June 30, Payette Police highlighted the culmination of an extensive investigation involving various agencies leading to Shaw’s arrest. With the case now in legal proceedings, the police refrained from providing further details or comments on the evidence.

Shaw is currently detained at the Ada County Jail awaiting extradition to Payette County, where she will face charges of two counts of First Degree Murder.
