The Duchess of Sussex, along with Harry, attended a special screening of the Girl Scout documentary, Cookie Queens, in Los Angeles. They are the executive producers of the film, and Meghan engaged in a Q&A session with the documentary’s producer, Alysa Nahmias.
At the event, Meghan, who is approaching her 45th birthday, discussed coping with life’s difficulties and mentioned a quote from Harry’s time as a British Army helicopter pilot. She recounted how Harry once told her, “My love, even in the midst of a storm, above the storm, the sun always shines.” This perspective, she added, has been a guiding light for her.
Meghan has been relatively low-key in recent months, with her most recent public appearance being a trip to Switzerland in May to address online abuse. However, she shared glimpses of a family visit to the UK, including a visit to Althorp, the Spencer family home where Princess Diana is buried. The Sussexes’ trip included moments captured in photos shared on Meghan’s Instagram, showcasing their time in the UK and Portugal.
Additionally, Harry and Meghan took their children to visit Harry’s grandfather at Highgrove, marking the first family reunion in four years. Security concerns had previously prevented such visits, but arrangements were made to ensure the safety of the family during their recent trip. Harry had planned various charity events during the visit to the UK, including promoting the Invictus Games he founded.
