A bus collision has triggered a significant emergency reaction with the presence of two air ambulances on-site and reports indicating that 26 individuals have sustained injuries.
The incident involved a public bus on the A484 in the coastal town of Kidwelly in Carmarthenshire, Wales. Authorities have shut down the road at the site, advising the public to avoid the area.
Described as a “major incident,” the crash is causing substantial delays according to traffic monitoring systems.
In a statement at the Senedd, Welsh Government minister Heledd Fychan addressed the Kidwelly bus collision, urging the public to steer clear of the area until further notice.
An eyewitness residing near the crash site informed the media that the bus appeared to have overturned onto its back or side. Two air ambulances, along with paramedics, firefighters, and police, are present at the scene.
Officials have emphasized that the public should refrain from entering the area until further updates are provided.
Reports indicate that at least 26 individuals have been injured in the incident. Flight tracking data shows that two Air Ambulances have landed at the scene.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed a major incident in Kidwelly, involving a bus collision on the A484 near the Kidwelly roundabout. The road closure extends from the Kidwelly roundabout at Parc y Bocs to Llandyfaelog, with motorists advised to seek alternative routes.
Emergency services are currently on-site to manage the situation.
