“Interpol Suspect in Oligarch Attack Found Dead”

A Ukrainian woman suspected of involvement in the attempted murder of Ukrainian oligarch Vadim Ermolaev in Monaco has been found deceased. Anastasiia Berezovska, 39, was identified by Interpol as the suspect behind the explosion that injured Ermolaev and two others. Initially disguised as a man, Berezovska was believed to have fled to Germany after the attack.

An Interpol Red Notice was issued for Berezovska for charges of attempted murder, placing an explosive device with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy in Monaco. Described as Ukrainian, fluent in German, and last residing in Germany, Berezovska was noted to have dark hair and a tattoo resembling a snake on her right arm.

In a recent development, reports indicate that Berezovska was discovered shot dead near Kyiv. Two suspects, including a current officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate and a former law enforcement officer, have been arrested in connection with her death. Described as armed and dangerous, Berezovska was the subject of a search by German police, who found evidence linking her to the crime.

Monaco’s deputy prosecutor mentioned that the complexity of the explosive device suggested the involvement of multiple individuals. Although two men were initially detained and released due to lack of evidence, investigations are ongoing. The incident occurred when a parcel bomb exploded at an apartment building entrance, targeting Ermolaev’s family.

CCTV footage captured the victims returning home before the explosion, indicating a targeted attack. The suspect was seen waiting for the victims before the blast and fleeing towards a nearby town afterward. The authorities continue to investigate the case to unravel the full extent of the plot.
