“Community Rallies for Salford Man in Critical Condition Abroad”

A 20-year-old man from Salford is in critical condition at a hospital in Greece following a serious quad bike accident while on vacation with friends in Zante. Bradley Belhomme sustained severe head injuries in a collision with a coach last Friday, shortly after arriving in the country with his companions.

Bradley and his friend, who was also injured, had rented the quad bikes and were riding together when the accident occurred. He was subsequently transferred to a hospital in Attica, Athens, where he is currently in a coma under intensive care.

According to his mother, Leanne Rabbetts, Bradley’s condition is grave, with doctors attempting to bring him out of the coma without success so far. The family is facing uncertainty about his travel insurance coverage and has sought assistance from the British Embassy.

The community has rallied behind Bradley’s family, spreading appeals on social media and organizing fundraising events to help cover the mounting hospital expenses. A GoFundMe page has been established to support Bradley’s medical care and potential repatriation.

Bradley’s uncle, Adam, expressed concerns about the insurance coverage and emphasized the family’s focus on Bradley’s recovery and eventual return home. Despite the challenges posed by the language barrier and strict visitation protocols, the family remains by Bradley’s side, hoping for positive developments in his condition.
