Grifols Resumes Canadian Clinic Operations

Grifols has announced the resumption of activities at its Canadian clinics following a temporary closure of paid plasma collection in mid-August due to public scrutiny. The for-profit plasma donation company revealed in a press release that it is commencing a phased approach to resume collection operations at its 17 centers. Initially, two locations – one on Innovation Drive in Winnipeg and another on Currents Drive in Edmonton – are reopening with a limited number of daily donor appointments, gradually increasing over time. The decision to reopen aligns with Health Canada guidelines, and more locations within the network are expected to gradually reopen as well.
