According to the cantonal police, a 22-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while four men and one woman, aged between 24 and 27, were transported to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries. The shooting took place during the “Aarau Rave VOL. 7” event at the Schachen district’s horse racing track in Aarau, located 46 kilometers west of Zurich. Following the incident, a significant police presence was observed in the area, urging locals to steer clear for safety.
A manhunt is currently underway, with a coordinated effort involving police, firefighters, and medical personnel. Authorities from Freiburg, Germany, also joined the search for the suspect.
