A popular figure in the bodybuilding world tragically passed away after collapsing at his home following a workout session. Mailson Araújo, a well-known Men’s Physique athlete with a significant following on Instagram, died in Alagoinhas, Brazil, shortly after feeling unwell post-exercise.
Upon returning from his training, the 35-year-old sought help from his parents, with his mother, a nurse, performing CPR to no avail. Despite the efforts of emergency services and firefighters at the scene, Mailson could not be revived and was declared dead at his residence.
The cause of his sudden death is yet to be officially determined by the authorities, sparking an outpouring of condolences from the bodybuilding community. Tributes have been flooding in from various sources, expressing sympathy for his family and friends during this challenging time.
Having achieved professional status in 2023 after winning the amateur title at the Arnold Classic South America in São Paulo, Mailson had a successful career with notable placements in competitions like Musclecontest Brazil and Bahia Pro. He was gearing up to participate in the Musclecontest Brazil 2026 event in Curitiba before the tragic incident.
