“Canada Reveals Squad for U-20 Women’s World Cup”

Canada’s Cindy Tye, the head coach, has unveiled the lineup for the upcoming under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland set for September 5 to 27. The squad comprises 21 players, featuring three goalkeepers, five defenders, eight midfielders, and five forwards. Additionally, six alternates will accompany the team to Poland for pre-tournament preparations.

The team, along with players, coaches, and staff, will convene in Lublin, Poland, on August 23, before relocating to their tournament base camp in Bielsko-Biala on August 30. A closed-door match against Spain is scheduled for August 31. Canada, part of the 24 participating nations, is placed in Group B and will kick off their campaign against England on September 5, followed by a match against Brazil on September 8, and concluding the group stage against Tanzania on September 11.

The Canadian team secured their spot in the U-20 World Cup during the 2025 CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship, where they clinched the regional title for the third time. Coach Tye expressed the team’s readiness for the challenge ahead, acknowledging the elevated competition level in the World Cup and urging the players to embrace the opportunity to represent Canada on the global stage.
