Furthermore, a damning NHS report revealed numerous cases of harm and fatalities among babies and mothers at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, prompting Cooper to pledge a robust response to rectify the identified failures. Similar issues were flagged at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust, where systemic deficiencies in care were linked to a significant number of maternal and infant deaths.
