Police confiscated 13 high-end vehicles, including Lamborghinis, a Ferrari, and a Porsche, after receiving reports of reckless and disruptive driving on the M11 motorway.
Essex Police responded to the incident on Tuesday around 4:20 pm following concerns raised by the public regarding a group of high-performance cars heading northbound.
According to witnesses, the cars were seen speeding up abruptly and then abruptly slowing down, causing disturbances by heavy braking and obstructing the traffic flow, as stated by Essex Police.
The drivers were accused of driving closely together and using the hard shoulder to overtake other vehicles, leading the officers to intervene at Junction 8 and issue 13 warnings for disruptive driving behavior.
Sergeant Will Willsher emphasized the severity of the reported behavior, highlighting the potential danger it posed to other road users, especially on a busy motorway during rush hours.
The Roads Policing Unit swiftly located the vehicles and took necessary enforcement measures, stressing the importance of adhering to speed limits for the safety of all road users.
Essex Police disclosed that several offenses were being investigated, urging anyone with relevant information, video evidence, or dashcam footage to contact them, referencing incident 955 of July 28.
