A military helicopter carrying three individuals crashed in Alabama, United States. The incident took place near the city of Opp on Monday, July 28, after the helicopter from the US Army base Fort Rucker went down during routine flight training.
Authorities indicated that the crew was engaged in regular flight training when the mishap occurred, describing the event as an aviation incident. The Covington County Sheriff, Blake Turman, confirmed the crash landing in a privately owned field on Cool Springs Road, mentioning that there were no apparent injuries.
The chopper, identified as a UH-72 Lakota, had an instructor pilot and two student pilots on board at the time of the crash. Fortunately, all occupants sustained stable conditions and were subsequently transported to a Dothan hospital for medical assessment.
