The sibling of the late Suzy Lamplugh, who was tragically murdered, has made a heartfelt plea to solve the 40-year-old mystery, urging for assistance in locating her remains. Suzy disappeared at the age of 25 on July 28, 1986, after arranging to meet a client known as “Mr Kipper” in Fulham, London. Despite extensive investigations, her body was never recovered, leading to her being declared deceased in 1993. In 2002, the main suspect, John Cannan, was identified by Scotland Yard detectives, but due to insufficient evidence, he was not charged and passed away in 2024 while serving time for another murder.
Ahead of the 40th anniversary of Suzy’s disappearance, her brother Richard, aged 66, expressed the family’s lingering desire for closure by locating her body for a proper farewell. He emphasized the importance of finding Suzy’s remains to provide some semblance of peace to the family. Cold-case detectives have been reassessing Operation Phoebus, the original investigation into Suzy’s vanishing, which occurred during a routine workday as she went to show a client a property near her office.
