Man Survives 12-Storey Fall, Woman Killed in Tragic Incident

A tragic incident in Japan resulted in the death of a 23-year-old woman when a man fell from a 12-storey building and landed on her. The man survived the fall, but the woman, identified as Tomohiro Inaba, succumbed to haemorrhagic shock after being taken to the hospital. The man, Nobushige Taguchi, also a shop worker, suffered severe head and chest injuries and is currently in a coma, fighting for his life.

The unfortunate event occurred in Naka-ku, Nagoya City, near Yabamachi Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Meijo Line. Emergency services responded to a call reporting the incident at approximately 1 am on July 19. Authorities are investigating whether the man fell accidentally or intentionally and are examining why he was present in the building.

Witnesses reported that the victim was walking with a friend when the man fell on her. Fortunately, the friend accompanying the victim was unharmed. The area was cordoned off for investigation, and forensic teams collected evidence from the scene. Reports indicate that the man was not a resident of the building, raising questions about his presence there.

This tragic event is reminiscent of a similar incident in Milan, where an 83-year-old woman died after being struck by a man who jumped from a fourth-floor apartment. Initial suspicions of a double suicide attempt were dispelled after investigations revealed that the two individuals were strangers, and the woman’s death was classified as an accidental tragedy.
