An alligator that fatally attacked a woman in front of her boyfriend has been captured weeks after the incident. Brittany Clark, 31, lost both arms to the 13-foot beast while swimming in a river at Little Big Econ State Forest in Florida on June 28. The tragic event occurred during a hike, where she was pulled underwater by the alligator in a deadly encounter.
Authorities have successfully captured the massive alligator responsible for the brutal attack on Brittany. Trappers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) caught two alligators, with the larger one matching DNA samples and bite marks from the victim. Brittany’s boyfriend, Chance Allison, bravely attempted to save her during the harrowing attack, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.
Described as an “amazing person” by her family, Brittany’s final words to her partner were a request to care for her German Shepherd. Despite the heroic efforts to rescue her, the severity of the injuries sustained in the alligator attack led to her untimely death.
