A young kickboxing world champion is facing allegations of homicide as he prepares for his upcoming trial. Tyler Ford, 18, appeared in court in Swansea accused of the murder of Ceiran Evans, also 18, from Gorseinon, who passed away following a traffic accident. Ford, hailing from Morriston, Swansea, is further charged with the attempted murder of another individual. Despite being a nine-time world kickboxing champion, Ford only confirmed his identity during the brief court appearance and has not entered any pleas yet.
Judge Paul Thomas KC scheduled a plea and case management hearing for September 29, with a two-week trial set to commence on January 11. Ford was remanded into custody with the judge stating that the defendant will remain detained until the next hearing. The charges stem from a collision involving a car and an off-road bike on Pen Cae Crwn Road in Gorseinon on July 9.
The family of Mr. Evans paid a heartfelt tribute to him, expressing their deep love and profound loss. They described Ceiran as a cherished individual whose warm heart, humor, loving demeanor, and infectious smile brought happiness to all who knew him. They vowed to remember him fondly and keep his memory alive forever.
