“Glasgow Man Vanishes After Tokyo Poker Game”

A man from Britain has disappeared in Tokyo after participating in a poker game in the city’s red-light district. Alistair Roberts, hailing from Glasgow, left the game early on Saturday morning and has not been in contact since, which is highly unusual according to his loved ones. The 37-year-old was last seen on a live camera feed from Kabukicho, a well-known red-light area, leaving a poker venue at 4:30 am on Saturday before disappearing.

Having recently returned to Tokyo to be with his fiancée, Alistair’s phone has been unreachable since he left the game. His friend, Charles Hatch, mentioned that efforts to reach the UK embassy have been initiated, along with attempts to inform Alistair’s family about the situation back in the UK. To gather more information on Alistair’s whereabouts, expatriates, travelers, and locals are encouraged to provide any relevant details they may have.

Charles Hatch expressed concerns over the situation, indicating that despite Alistair being seemingly fine in his last sighting, the police suspect he may have chosen to vanish independently. This behavior is contrary to his regular routine as he had just returned to Japan to be with his fiancée and was mentally stable. While there is a possibility that he is in police custody, authorities have denied having him in their custody. The friend also noted that Alistair frequents the Kabukicho area, making it improbable that he followed any individuals soliciting services.
