A man is facing three murder charges after his wife and two daughters were found dead in Bedfordshire. Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, 45, was apprehended in Kensington, Johannesburg, and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has approved the murder charges against him.
The victims, identified as Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, were discovered deceased at a residence in Carnoustie Drive, Great Denham, near Bedford. Bedfordshire Police stated that Tshuma is in custody and efforts are underway to bring him back to the UK.
Tshuma, also known as Mark, a British national with Zimbabwean roots, was located and arrested in South Africa with the help of coordinated operations and intelligence-led policing. The 45-year-old is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Detective Inspector Lee Martin, the lead investigator at Bedfordshire Police, commended the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies, including the National Crime Agency, Interpol, and authorities in Zimbabwe and South Africa. The investigation is ongoing, and cooperation with international partners will continue to facilitate Tshuma’s return to the UK.
The focus remains on honoring the memories of Zandile, Natalie, and Nala, along with their families, during this tragic time.
