London Northwestern Railway reported the evacuation of Birmingham New Street due to a unit on fire, resulting in service suspensions until the issue was resolved. Birmingham New Street stated that an onboard train fault led to the evacuation, but services were anticipated to resume shortly.

National Rail confirmed the reopening of lines at Birmingham New Street but warned of delays until 9 am. West Midlands Railway announced ticket acceptance with @nxwestmidlands on specific routes due to the evacuation.
