Paige, fighting back tears, shared Jenna’s wish that she update her followers in case of any eventuality. She expressed the family’s belief that they will reunite with Jenna in the future, recalling Jenna’s poignant words during her time in hospice.

Having been diagnosed with cervical cancer on June 26, 2024, Jenna battled the illness with extraordinary strength and courage until her passing, surrounded by loved ones. Despite her young age, Jenna amassed over 50,000 followers on TikTok, where she used her platform to raise awareness about cervical cancer symptoms, especially among young women.

In a widely viewed video titled “How I found out I had Stage 4 cancer,” Jenna recounted her initial shock at receiving abnormal test results after what she thought was a routine visit. Further examinations revealed she had adenoid carcinoma, a rare form of cancer affecting glandular tissue. Initially believed to be stage three, the cancer aggressively spread despite chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.

Jenna candidly shared with her followers that the cancer originated in her cervix, uterus, and lymph nodes before advancing. Notably, her cancer was unrelated to HPV, the primary cause of cervical cancer cases, leaving doctors puzzled due to its atypical presentation.

Throughout her battle, Jenna used her social media presence to emphasize the importance of prioritizing health and living life to the fullest. Despite the grim prognosis, she encouraged others to cherish each moment and embrace life’s uncertainties.

Born on February 24, 2003, Jenna was a talented individual who graduated from Milbank High School, where she actively participated in various activities. Known for her beautiful voice and passion for singing, Jenna later pursued studies at South Dakota State University and worked as a nanny in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Following her cancer diagnosis, Jenna returned home and shared her experiences online, fostering a supportive community that drew inspiration from her resilience and openness. Her family highlighted Jenna’s dedication to raising awareness about cervical cancer symptoms and praised her for the impact she had on her followers.

Jenna’s funeral services were held in Milbank, South Dakota, on June 3, where she was remembered fondly by her family, including parents Darwin and Audra Johnson, sisters Rachel and Paige, as well as her nephew, niece, and extended family.
