“Woman’s Body Found in Washing Machine Sparks Family’s Quest for Justice”

A washing machine concealed the body of a woman, discovered following an anonymous tip leading the police to investigate a nearby pond. Despite eight years passing, the woman’s family continues their quest for justice.

Trish Haynes, aged 25, abruptly severed contact with her grandmother after moving in with two friends. Concerned about the sudden change, her grandmother reported her missing to the Grafton Police Department in New Hampshire, as she was only receiving messages from Haynes through her friends.

Upon receiving an anonymous tip, authorities searched Grant’s Pond and found a washer and dryer submerged, containing Haynes’ remains. Initially ruled a homicide, the case underwent a year-long investigation before the murder was publicly disclosed. To date, eight years later, no arrests have been made, leaving the case unsolved.

The family of the deceased woman, Haynes, is actively collecting funds in hopes of a breakthrough. Carey-Ann Wilson, Haynes’ cousin, shared that they have received various tips related to her death and are striving to raise a reward for information leading to a conviction. Expressing deep sadness over the tragedy, Carey-Ann emphasized the family’s determination to seek justice.

Haynes’ relocation to live with an old friend in May 2018 raised alarm among her family due to the drastic shift in her communication patterns. Her family noted her sudden detachment from her grandmother and great aunt, with whom she shared a very close relationship. Communication from Haynes dwindled, with most messages being relayed through her friend.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office officially acknowledged Haynes’ death in July 2019. However, no arrests have been made since then, and the case remains unresolved, causing immense frustration and pain for the family. Despite the lack of progress, the family remains steadfast in their fight for justice, refusing to let Haynes be forgotten and actively seeking new leads.
