A 21-year-old man has been accused of murder following a deadly stabbing incident in west London last week, according to the police.
Identified as Awap Halouf and residing on Hambro Road, Lambeth, south London, he was apprehended in Cardiff on Sunday under suspicion of murder.
Following the arrest, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 21-year-old has been formally charged with both murder and possession of a blade in a public location.
The arrest transpired subsequent to authorities and medical responders responding to a stabbing report at the intersection of Bath Road and Great Southwest Road in Hounslow, west London, around 1:47 am last Tuesday.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement, in conjunction with the London Ambulance Service, discovered Haruun Hassan with severe injuries, as relayed by the Met Police.
Despite paramedics’ efforts, Mr. Hassan, aged 22, was declared deceased at the scene, prompting the commencement of an investigation by the police.
Halouf has been detained in custody and is scheduled to make an appearance at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court in south-west London on Tuesday.
Additionally, a 21-year-old woman was also arrested in Cardiff on Sunday under suspicion of murder and has been released on bail pending further investigation.
The family of Haruun Hassan continues to be provided with support by specialized officers, as stated by the police.
