“12-Year-Old Boy Dragged into River by Crocodile in Uttar Pradesh Tragedy”

A tragic incident occurred in Baundi, Uttar Pradesh, India, where a 12-year-old boy named Sunil was attacked by a crocodile while washing his hands in a river with his uncle. The distressing scene, captured on video, shows the crocodile dragging Sunil into the water, despite efforts from bystanders to intervene.

The attack took place at 6pm when Sunil and his uncle, Vijay Raj Singh, were washing off dirt accumulated during the day. Singh raised the alarm and tried to rescue Sunil as the crocodile pulled him underwater. Despite attempts by locals to stop the crocodile with bricks, stones, and sticks, the predator continued its assault.

After a prolonged struggle, the crocodile dragged Sunil deeper into the water before disappearing. A search ensued, and Sunil’s remains were recovered several hours later. His body showed signs of severe mutilation, with his right leg and abdomen partially consumed.

Sunil, an orphan under his uncle’s care, leaves behind a brother and two sisters. Local authorities confirmed the authenticity of the footage depicting the tragic event. The family is set to receive compensation from state authorities, and forest officials are monitoring the area to prevent future incidents, as crocodiles are known to inhabit the river where the attack occurred.
