Vodafone customers in Australia are experiencing a situation where their phones can only make emergency calls. The issue was reported by over 2,800 users on Downdetector, a real-time outage monitoring platform, on Thursday, June 18 around 9am local time. The mobile network provider is currently looking into a nationwide outage, with impacted users noting that their phones have switched to SOS mode nationwide.
Vodafone has recommended that customers reboot their devices as they work to resolve the problem. During the outage, the network provider’s own online status checker was also affected, leading users to encounter error messages.
