Newly released weather maps reveal that the UK is bracing for scorching temperatures reaching up to 36C in the near future.
Weather experts predict a gradual rise in temperatures, with much of the country expected to experience intense heat by Wednesday, August 12. The hottest regions are anticipated to be in the southern and eastern parts of England, particularly Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.
The latest WXCharts maps, predominantly shaded in vibrant red hues, indicate the forthcoming hot weather. Meteorologists at Metdesk, the source of these maps, suggest that temperatures could peak at 36C around Wednesday, August 12.
During this period, temperatures are expected to surpass 30C in various parts of the Midlands and northern England. Conversely, Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to remain cooler, with temperatures forecasted to linger in the low to mid-20s across many areas.
While the eastern regions will experience the highest temperatures, Wales will also enjoy dry and sunny conditions, albeit at slightly lower temperatures. Projections indicate temperatures around 26C to 27C in and around Swansea.
As reported by the Express, Monday saw warm weather with a recorded high of 33.5C by the Met Office in Wisley, Surrey. However, rain is anticipated for Wednesday and Thursday, especially in Northern Ireland and parts of Scotland.
A yellow weather warning has been issued for thunderstorms in various areas including Angus, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, and Highland. The Met Office cautions that “Slow-moving heavy showers and thunderstorms may cause some disruption.”
According to WXCharts, temperatures exceeding 35C could soon be experienced in certain regions.
