“Trump’s MAGA UFC Event Marred by Celebrity No-Shows”

Donald Trump faced embarrassment ahead of his birthday as notable personalities failed to turn up for his MAGA-themed White House UFC event. The President and his supporters were looking forward to UFC 250, a significant gathering organized by Dana White, set to occur on an extravagant ring on the South Lawn for Trump’s 80th birthday. Despite expectations of a high-profile event with major figures from Trumpworld and their political associates, the event has not garnered public enthusiasm as anticipated.

Around 4,000 attendees are expected, but there is a notable absence of celebrities with broad public appeal, despite personal invitations extended by White, the UFC’s president and CEO. White mentioned in a recent Time Magazine interview that invites were sent out to renowned actors, including notable Brits like Adam Sandler, Guy Ritchie, Tom Brady, Jared Leto, Jason Statham, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Mario Lopez. However, most of them have declined participation, as per a source close to The Rock and representatives for Sandler, Leto, and Lopez.

Representatives for the mentioned British celebrities have not yet responded to their reported invitations, and there has been no comment from either the White House or the UFC. This growing list of refusals reflects a significant challenge facing Trump in his second term, with his dwindling popularity becoming increasingly evident. The President, who often boasts of a landslide victory in 2024, has seen a decline in support, particularly since his extended confrontation with Iran.

In May, his approval rating dropped to a second-term low of 28%, with a substantial 58% disapproval rate. This trend has persisted since late April, contrasting with past presidents over the last 17 years whose low approval ratings were short-lived. Trump’s unpopular image has affected the 250th anniversary celebrations of America, with singers withdrawing from a concert series on the National Mall upon discovering its association with Trump.

In response, Trump has threatened to organize a rally instead, expressing his discontent on Truth Social by suggesting a large MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY for the 250th celebrations, criticizing the singers who withdrew from the event.
