“TalkTalk Transfers 120,000 Customers to Rise Fibre”

Thousands of TalkTalk customers will transition to a new provider in the upcoming months. The telecommunications company is transferring about 120,000 broadband and home phone subscribers to Rise Fibre, a company established in June 2025. This move will significantly boost Rise Fibre’s customer count to 250,000, leaving TalkTalk with approximately 1.5 million customers.

Affected customers should have received communication earlier this month. Their broadband speed and monthly fees will remain unchanged, and those with a home phone can retain their current number. Switching to a different provider while still under contract with TalkTalk may incur an early termination fee. The transition process is expected to be seamless without any service disruptions, and there is no need to replace any broadband equipment.

In case of an extended service outage, customers are advised to file a complaint for possible compensation. Most of the households being transferred are currently using the CityFibre network. According to TalkTalk’s website, the account transition process with Rise Fibre will be completed over the next few months. Rise Fibre will provide updates before making any changes to billing or account management processes.

Steve Wilson, the CEO of Rise Fibre, emphasized that the partnership signifies more than just an acquisition, marking a significant advancement in the UK broadband market. Rise Fibre aims to address customer demands for improved service, simpler products, and a user-friendly experience.

For customers seeking better deals, it is recommended to review usage patterns before comparing prices and packages from various providers. Utilizing comparison websites can help identify cost-effective options. If a better deal is found elsewhere, consider negotiating with the current provider before switching. Politeness is key during negotiations. If a lower price cannot be offered, switching providers may be a viable option. Additionally, exploring cashback opportunities on new broadband or mobile contracts through cashback websites can be beneficial.
