Private Jet Crash in Dominican Republic Kills Two Crew Members

A video capturing a plane crash shows the aircraft hitting the ground, sliding for a distance, and then bursting into flames. The jet involved is reported to be a private jet registered in the US.

Tragically, the crash resulted in the deaths of the two crew members on board, as confirmed by aviation authorities and local media in the Dominican Republic. The pilot and copilot’s identities have not been disclosed, and there were no passengers on the plane.

Authorities have identified the aircraft as a GALX with US registration number N318JF, which was on its way back to La Romana International Airport in the southeastern Dominican Republic. Reports indicate that the plane was en route to Austin, Texas, but had to turn back after declaring an emergency.

The footage shows the white business jet speeding along the ground near the runway, causing significant dirt and dust clouds as it deviates from its course. Parts of the fuselage start to break apart due to the intense impact.

Shortly after, a fire ignites at the rear of the jet, leading to a larger explosion as the plane continues to disintegrate. The video concludes with the wreckage engulfed in flames, emitting thick black smoke, while emergency vehicles rush to the scene to contain the fire.

The Dominican Civil Aviation Institute and the Aviation Accident Investigation Commission are actively investigating the crash to determine its cause and have activated emergency procedures.
