A woman recounted a disturbing incident during a flight where she was sexually assaulted while holding her young daughter. The mother, traveling solo with her four-year-old child, was asleep when the alleged assault occurred on a flydubai flight. Beaut Pimpaporn, a 33-year-old from Thailand, was on her way back from Milan to Bangkok via Dubai International Airport.
She awoke mid-flight to find a man reportedly engaging in inappropriate behavior towards her. The mother had taken sleeping pills, and her daughter was sleeping on her lap during the six-hour journey on flight FZ-1583. Upon waking, she discovered the man touching her inappropriately.
The man quickly concealed his actions when he realized she was awake, pretending to adjust the entertainment screen in front of her. The woman waited until the plane landed in Bangkok before informing the cabin crew and filing a police report. The man initially denied the allegations but eventually admitted to his actions.
After being confronted, the man made a scene, apologizing and begging for forgiveness. However, the flight attendant insisted that the police be involved. The man, part of a tour group, was separated from his friends who tried to intervene on his behalf. The mother’s child was immediately taken away from the situation by the captain to shield her from witnessing the events.
Tourist police and immigration officers removed the man from the flight and took him to the police station. They are working to mediate between the two parties. The man has been denied entry into Thailand, and investigations are ongoing. The woman decided to share her story to raise awareness about the safety risks faced by solo female travelers.
A flydubai spokesperson declined to comment on the incident, emphasizing passenger and crew safety as their top priority. The woman encouraged other women not to feel ashamed if they experience similar situations and to speak up and seek help.
