Mother of Missing Ben Needham Rejects Tragic Accident Theory

The mother of missing Ben Needham recently returned from a secret trip to Kos, where she expressed disbelief in the police theory that her son died in a tragic digger accident. Kerry Needham marked the 35th anniversary of Ben’s disappearance by visiting the farmhouse where he went missing, accompanied by her mother and brother. Despite the emotional turmoil of revisiting the location, Kerry remains convinced that Ben was abducted, not the victim of an accident as authorities speculated.

Ben disappeared on July 24, 1991, from the Greek island of Kos while playing outside the farmhouse his grandfather was renovating. South Yorkshire Police conducted two searches in the area, suspecting a digger accident, but no evidence supporting this theory has been found. Kerry refuted the police hypothesis, pointing out inconsistencies in the scenario, such as Ben’s behavior and the lack of evidence at the scene.

While traces of blood were discovered in a toy car resembling Ben’s toys, the DNA did not match Ben’s. Kerry emphasized that someone else bled near the farmhouse, raising further questions. The police suspected digger operator Konstantinos Barkas, who passed away in 2015, but his widow denied any involvement and mentioned a mysterious car parked near the farmhouse on that fateful day.

Kerry is now seeking government intervention and assistance in her relentless quest for answers. She aims to collaborate with British and Greek authorities to uncover the truth about Ben’s disappearance. Kerry’s recent interactions with government officials have given her renewed hope, and she is determined to continue her efforts until she finds closure.

A documentary titled ‘Ben Needham: Lost in Paradise’ is set to air on Disney Plus, shedding light on Ben’s case in hopes of reaching a wider audience, particularly in the United States. Kerry’s unwavering determination and perseverance reflect her commitment to finding justice for Ben after enduring decades of uncertainty and heartache. South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard expressed solidarity with Kerry and pledged ongoing support in her pursuit of answers.
