“Manitoba Premier: Keep American Liquor Off Shelves”

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew advises consumers to keep American liquor on Canadian store shelves if it makes a comeback. Negotiations between Canadian and U.S. officials aim to prevent new U.S. tariffs on approximately $30 billion worth of Canadian goods. Prime Minister Mark Carney and his team discussed this potential agreement with provincial leaders, urging the return of American alcohol to stores, according to Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston. However, Kinew stated during a press conference that Manitoba has not yet agreed to this request. If Manitoba does decide to restock U.S. products in Liquor Marts as part of the trade deal, Kinew suggests that Canadians refrain from purchasing them. Instead, he encourages consumers to opt for Canadian alternatives to show discontent with President Donald Trump’s trade tactics.
