A manhunt is ongoing for a father who caused a fatal collision while driving under the influence, resulting in the death of his baby daughter. Emmanuel Sakyi, aged 31, was recently convicted of causing death by dangerous driving and sentenced to 15 years in prison in his absence. The incident occurred in December 2022 on Bletcham Way in Milton Keynes when Sakyi’s vehicle collided head-on with another car. Tragically, his seven-month-old daughter, Emmanuela, sustained severe injuries in the crash and later succumbed to them in the hospital.
During the trial, it was revealed that Sakyi was driving while intoxicated, exceeding the legal alcohol limit by twice the permitted level, and displaying reckless driving behavior. Witnesses reported that he drove his vehicle on the wrong side of the road for a significant distance before crashing into another car. Despite being convicted, Sakyi failed to appear in court and is currently evading law enforcement.
In light of these events, Crimestoppers has announced a reward of up to £7,500 for any information leading to Sakyi’s apprehension. Beth Simpson, the regional manager for South Central West, emphasized the gravity of the situation, highlighting the tragic loss of a young life due to the irresponsible actions of the father. She urged individuals with knowledge of Sakyi’s whereabouts to come forward, assuring anonymity and emphasizing the importance of seeking justice for Emmanuela.
Those with pertinent information are encouraged to contact Crimestoppers directly by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting their website. It is advised that if anyone spots Sakyi, they should refrain from approaching him and instead immediately contact emergency services by dialing 999.
