Liverpool Man Arrested After Taxi Crashes Into Home

A Liverpool man has been taken into custody following an incident where a taxi crashed into a residence on Asbridge Street in Toxteth. Local residents were startled by the sound of the collision early on Tuesday morning. The police were alerted at approximately 6:45 am about a silver Toyota Corolla that had collided with a house along the street.

Law enforcement officers responded to the scene and investigations suggest that the driver of the taxi, identified as a 40-year-old male, had a confrontation with another driver prior to the accident. The other motorist involved left the scene before the authorities arrived. The suspect is being held on suspicion of affray and causing damage. The investigation is in its preliminary stages, and efforts are underway to locate the driver who fled the scene.

Images from the site display significant damage to the Corolla and the house, with the property’s front window frame visibly impacted. A neighbor mentioned being awoken by the loud noise, likening it to the sound of bins being moved.
