Freeview has recently made changes to its TV guide, including repositioning channels and renaming one. The notable update involves the closure of Talk (Ch 280) on Freeview, a British news channel known for debate and opinion-led journalism. Viewers can now access Talk via the official Talk app, Samsung TVs, Roku devices, and LG screens.
In addition to the channel closure, Freeview has reorganized its lineup. Wedotv Big Stories on channel 275 will now be known as Wedotv. Furthermore, Ketchup TV, Ketchup Too, and Cartoon Classics have shifted to new channel locations – Ketchup TV from Ch 209 to Ch 208, Ketchup Too from Ch 210 to Ch 209, and Cartoon Classics from Ch 214 to Ch 210.
Freeview confirmed that broadcasters will implement these channel changes on 25th June 2026. The platform emphasized that channels frequently evolve on Freeview, with individual channels deciding to relocate, add, or remove services to offer diverse content options.
To ensure that viewers have access to the updated channel lineup, it is recommended to retune your TV by accessing the settings. Freeview provides instructions on how to retune your TV, including steps like selecting ‘set-up’ or ‘installation’ on the menu and performing a first-time installation to update channels.
