The former neo-Nazi, who has a record of racially aggravated offenses, including harassment of Berger, has faced criticism for his past actions. Berger highlighted the impact of the harassment she endured, describing it as deeply distressing and traumatic.
While Bonehill-Paine has claimed to have reformed and is now involved in counter-extremism efforts, his candidacy has sparked controversy. Opponents argue that his history of hate speech and criminal activities should disqualify him from seeking public office.
