A tragic incident unfolded in France as a police helicopter crash claimed one life and left two individuals seriously injured.

The harrowing event took place in Bray-Saint-Aignan, Loiret, when a helicopter belonging to the National Gendarmerie crashed, prompting an immediate response.

Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez confirmed the tragic loss of a gendarme during a search operation for a missing person, expressing deep sorrow and extending condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues.

Official statements from the Loiret prefecture revealed that three gendarmes were on board during the tragic crash, with one officer losing their life while the pilot and mechanic were rushed to Orléans University Hospital in critical condition.
