“Car Crashes Into Nottingham Apartment, Forces Evacuation”

Residents were instructed to evacuate an apartment complex following a car crashing into a ground-floor flat last night. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene at the intersection of Arkwright Way and Meadows Way in Nottingham between 9 pm and 10 pm.

Witnesses at Ryehill House flats in The Meadows reported a green BMW had plowed into an apartment, gaining access through the kitchen area. The vehicle was lodged entirely inside the building, causing damage to a nearby street sign and scattering debris like bricks, glass, and foliage.

Law enforcement established a cordon around the crash site, maintaining security in the area the next morning. The residential building, situated near a busy dual carriageway linking the city to West Bridgeford, has been cordoned off as a precaution.

Authorities have evacuated residents from the three flats above the impacted apartment due to concerns about potential structural damage. A witness from a neighboring ground-floor flat described being startled by the loud noise of the crash during the night, expressing curiosity about how the car ended up inside the building.
