Garnering 65 first-place votes and nine second-place votes from a prestigious national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters, Wilson accumulated a total of 713 points. In comparison, Minnesota’s Olivia Miles secured six first-place votes and 40 second-place votes, amassing 442 points, while Indiana’s Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark followed with 287 and 212 points, respectively.
Wilson’s five MVP titles set a new standard in the WNBA, surpassing legends such as Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson, each with three MVP wins. Notably, in the NBA, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar leads with six MVP titles, trailed by Michael Jordan and Bill Russell, each with five accolades.
