Áaêlíya Warbus has resigned from the B.C. Conservative caucus, making her the seventh MLA to depart due to leadership concerns this month. Warbus expressed disappointment in the leadership decisions and turnover within the party, emphasizing that both current MLAs and key members of local associations and staff have left. She criticized the cancellation of a caucus meeting scheduled for Monday, highlighting a lack of regard for members’ input.
B.C. Conservative Leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay has been under scrutiny as multiple MLAs have left the party citing issues with her leadership style and staff turnover. Premier David Eby has called a byelection in Abbotsford-Mission for September 26, a riding where Findlay was expected to run.
