“Survivors Recount Harrowing Plane Landing in Prince George”

Survivors of a harrowing plane landing incident in Prince George, B.C., that resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries are recounting their experiences. Jaime Pawliuk, who was en route to work on Thursday afternoon, described the moment when the aircraft came hurtling towards him. He recounted how the plane’s wing sheared the top of his vehicle, causing glass to shower over him, resulting in superficial cuts on his hands and glass in his hair. Despite the ordeal, he managed to escape with minor injuries.

The emergency landing involving a Beech King Air 200 aircraft took place just before 2:30 p.m. PT on Thursday on Foothills Boulevard, a key thoroughfare connecting various residential areas in Prince George. While police confirmed at least two vehicles were impacted, eyewitnesses and images suggest that the number could be higher, with Pawliuk estimating that three to five vehicles were directly affected. As investigations continue, individuals like Pawliuk have had to leave their vehicles at the site.

Video footage from inside the plane revealed the presence of six passengers and two pilots onboard. Fortunately, all occupants of the contracted plane emerged unscathed. However, emergency services evaluated ten individuals for injuries, with two individuals transported to the hospital in stable condition, and sadly, one person from a vehicle struck by the plane lost their life. The RCMP has announced that the Transportation Safety Board will lead the ongoing probe.
